The objectives of the Tzu Chi Collegiate Association (Tzu Ching) encompass the promotion of moral values, the cultivation of strong character, the fostering of a spirit of "profound compassion even for strangers and boundless empathy for all," the embodiment of humility, respect, and the refinement of one's character, all with the aim of setting a positive example for all young individuals within the community.

Tzu Ching youths work to improve campus environments everywhere by organizing an array of school activities and sharing information about Tzu Chi. Through Tzu Chi activities, an increasing number of students experience the Great Love of Tzu Chi and, subsequently spread the same vitality throughout their schools. Tzu Chings also actively promote, foster, and implement Tzu Chi's Four Missions of charity, medicine, education, and humanistic culture.

Seeing how our own planet Earth continues to be affected by conflicts and frequent disasters, Master Cheng Yan has repeatedly called on Tzu Chi volunteers to remind them that, “Time is running out!”, and that we must take urgent steps to limit our desires and conserve nature's resources before utter destruction strikes. In this turbulent and uncertain era, it falls upon conscientious youth to recognize their responsibility and embrace the challenge of reshaping the future of our world for the greater good.

Since its inception in 1992, the Tzu Chi Collegiate Association has been dedicated to inspiring its peers and spreading the message of “Serving with compassion and bonding with wisdom” across the globe. Over the span of decades, these seeds of hope and compassion have matured into a formidable force, becoming young adults who now bear significant responsibilities within the Tzu Chi Foundation across countries worldwide.
