Facing the terrible danger of COVID-19, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation is helping individuals, communities, hospitals and institutions to fight the disease. Tzu Chi volunteers around the world have mobilized, and are providing protective equipment and other material to many places across 36 countries and regions around the world.

Great Love in Action
In Massachusetts, USA, a recent online meeting connected Boston Tzu Chi volunteers with residents of Martha’s Vineyard. Dr. Rey-Sheng Her, a director of the foundation and visiting scholar at Harvard University, was in the online meeting with Dr. Caroline Reeves, a scholar and researcher at Harvard University, to prepare a project. As the Reeves Family is expanding its help to the community, Vickie Chang of the Tzu Chi Foundation in Boston was introduced to them.

Martha's Vineyard Times: From one Island to another

The Pandemic is affecting the lives of many people. Tzu Chi volunteers are reaching out to their communities to bring assistance of different kinds. They have provided essential supplies, like personal protective equipment, vegetarian food, and other needed material. By sending messages of love and warmth, volunteers also use social media to accompany people who are under lockdown at home.

Let us keep up our faith, take the necessary precautions, and pray for the end of the pandemic.
