A Nutritional Milestone

"Seeing the children healthy and attending school is our greatest joy," shared Project Manager Aruna Mansaray, her face beaming as she watched the children play during the 20th-anniversary celebration at Saint George's Orphanage in Sierra Leone.

Just a decade ago, many children at the orphanage were weak and listless, suffering from the effects of malnutrition. Now, Aruna proudly shares, "Every morning, the children eagerly await their multi-grain instant mix. This nutrition not only satisfies their hunger but fills them with energy and hope."

A Celebration of Gratitude

During the celebration, the children held up handmade thank-you posters, expressing their joy through vibrant songs and dances that testified to their healthy development. "These changes are the result of countless acts of love," stated Tzu Chi USA CEO Debra Boudreaux. For Tzu Chi volunteers, witnessing these children confidently pursue their education and joyfully embrace life is the most profound reward. Each warm bowl of multi-grain instant mix represents sustenance and embodies a powerful message of love, nurturing each young life as it blossoms.
